Reading these stories together
Friendship looks different across these stories: inviting someone in, sharing a discovery or helping with a rescue. Choose a situation the child is curious about.
Point to a moment when a character makes room for someone else. You can discuss a similar moment at home or in a classroom without asking for a personal confession.
A question to start a conversation
How did each friend help in their own way?
