Three Panchatantra stories and their lessons
The Four Friends
For cooperation: a crow, a mouse, a deer and a turtle combine different abilities in two rescues. All four reach home safely. Suggested age 6+; the story includes a hunter and traps.
The Elephants and the Mice
For kindness across differences: elephants change their path to protect the mice’s homes. Later, the mice free the herd from ropes. Help matters more than size. Suggested age 5+; the animals are rescued safely.
The Monkey and the Crocodile
For quick thinking and boundaries: Monkey escapes a dangerous river crossing and refuses another ride. Generosity does not mean trusting someone who threatens your safety. Suggested age 6+; preview the betrayal and danger first.
Can I read Panchatantra stories in both English and Hindi?
Yes. Each of these three books has a complete ten-page English edition and a Hindi edition. Use the language link to switch, or choose the language inside the page-turning reader.
Are these original translations of the Panchatantra?
They are new Neutoons retellings, with softened moments for shared reading, not word-for-word translations of a Sanskrit text. Each story includes its source link and adaptation note. The lessons above refer to these editions.
Reading these stories together
These Neutoons editions retell Panchatantra animal stories in ten illustrated pages. The source and adaptation notes are included beneath each story.
Compare how the friends help one another with how the monkey responds to danger. Preview a story first if your child is sensitive to peril.

Are these stories free to read?
Yes. Every ten-page book is free in English and Hindi, without an account. Custom family films are a separate paid service.
How do I choose a story for my child?
Read the description and any parent note first. Age labels, where provided, are suggestions. Preview the story and choose according to your child’s interests and comfort.
Does every book have animation or narration?
The ten-page books have no audio narration. The original 18 books have animated illustrations in the page-turning reader; the additional 100 have still illustrations. Selected separate videos are available on YouTube.
