Goodnight, Little Forest
For a familiar bedtime ending: Olive takes one last round with Mama, understands a rustling leaf and returns to her blanket. There is a brief moment of worry, followed by reassurance.
Moon’s Little Parcel
For a shorter read about kindness: Moon saves a little food from a feast for the mother waiting at home. This edition ends with the family sharing and learning together.
Little Tuk’s Dream Journey
For a dream journey: Tuk helps a neighbour, then dreams of places from his schoolbook. In the morning he still practises his lesson; the dream is part of the story’s imagination.
Which bedtime stories are short?
Moon’s Little Parcel and Little Tuk’s Dream Journey each have an estimated three-minute reading time. Goodnight, Little Forest is about eight minutes. Reading aloud and pausing over pictures can take longer.
Are these sleep stories with audio?
These are stories to read, with English and Hindi text. The books do not have audio narration. Choose a still text edition if you prefer reading without moving illustrations.
Reading these stories together
Choose a story together before starting. These books can be read at your own pace; the estimated reading time is only a guide.
Let the child look at the last illustration before closing the book. There is no need to turn a quiet read into a quiz.
